Old Computers Get A New Purpose

      One of the biggest frustrations with buying a new computer or printer is knowing that the shiny, sleek, and fast machine you just shelled out good money for, will be obsolete within 6 months to a year and absolutely unusable and archaic in 5 to 10 years.

While some people hang on to their old computers for a variety of reasons – to protect their data or as a back up in case the new machine goes kaput– a truly unique reason to hang on to those old clunkers is for the sounds they make.

Imagine taking a whole slew of outdated, noisy machines and making music with them. This is exactly what one person did when he mixed sounds from an Atari 800XL, an 8 inch floppy disk, an HP ScanJet 3C, a 3.5 inch hard drive, and a Texas Instruments  TI-99 to create Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
